COSAS QUE HACEN POSIBLE LA VIDA EN LA
TIERRA
El día Martes 17 de
noviembre de 2020 fue el día en el que se conmemoró el día de la Ciencia para
la paz y el desarrollo. Por ello, realizamos una actividad titulada “THINGS THAT MAKE LIFE ON EARTH POSSIBLE”.
Por la mañana, antes de
entrar directamente a nuestras aulas para comenzar las clases, Enrique Jiménez Tejera de 1°ESO C y yo (Gabriela
Pérez Herrero 1°ESO B) leímos unos fragmentos en inglés indicando
algunas características que posee nuestro planeta para que la vida en él sea
posible. Los textos eran: Importance of Earth’s Atmosphere, Water, Magnetic field protect Earth y Geological
activity. Esta actividad la hicimos en colaboración con la Radio escolar “Dando la
palabra”, haciendo uso de la megafonía.

Importance of Earth’s Atmosphere
It is the layers of gases surrounding the earth. It air content of carbon
dioxide helps to moderate the Earth's temperature and is absorbed by plants
during photosynthesis to produce oxygen.
Water
Water is very
important for life. It continually changes its form through the water cycle.
The process by which water continually changes its form and circulates between
oceans, atmosphere and land is known as the water cycle.
Magnetic field
protect Earth
Earth’s magnetic field is vital for keeping our
atmosphere in place. The Earth generates magnetic field, as if were a large
magnet, wich protects it from the harmful radiation of the sun.
Geological
activity
Recent
discoveries suggest that plate tectonics has played a critical role in
nourishing life on Earth. The findings carry major consequences for the search for
life elsewhere in the universe. Our planethas the geological activity wich
favours life on Earth
